Don't Make This Mistake

So.... In my endless haste to customize my '14, I made an insanely rookie mistake. Purchased and installed my Swift Spec-R Springs last weekend (I just love compressing springs). Anyhow, couldn't take it in for alignment until today. Obviously I could tell that I had some VERY stout negative camber issues (good for track, not much so on the normal road!). Weird thing is that the front left rang in within spec (-.8). The front right went stupid (-2.5). Yes you read that right. That is a marked difference. Going to tear it apart again this weekend and confirm that everything is seated nice and tight.

The even better part was the -3.2 I had out back. Hmmm... So you can't adjust the start arms... Bye bye tires. LOLOL.

Morale of the story. Always pay close attention to the forum and what the rep guys have to say. I ordered SPL Titanium Rear Camber links and Rear Toe links today to resolve my rear issues. Once I figure out the front, I see some SPL PRO Front Arms in my future as well.

All in, a smooth $1900 for a 1" drop.

Figured I would give you guys your laugh for the day! Enjoy!

Congrats on the mod. It must look great. Stock wheels with spacers or aftermarket? Just a thought - For a little more than 1900 you could have gotten coilovers and arms installed. Just wondering where all the $ went.

i hope you got the spc toe bolts (also sold on spl's site) and not the spl rear toe links... the rear toe links are meant to replace the spring bucket for a 'true' coilover setup.

and not really bye bye tires. toe is the tire killer. camber just promotes uneven wear which can be alleviated by 'flipping' tires.

All of the SPL stuff I am going to end up getting is going to run $1300. Swift Springs $400. Got the 19" Rays with the spacers. Really fills the wheel well out!

Yup, meant bolts. Too jacked up on different browser windows!
