Brake Upgrade Input Needed

My 2009 370 Sport Touring has 38,000 miles on it and is ready for new brakes. Talking to Z1 in the Atlanta area about installation of their Sport Akebono Brake Kit; including pads, rotors (2 piece front rotors; 1 piece rears), stainless steel lines, and upgraded brake fluid. Any thoughts, comments or experience with this kit would be great appreciated.:tip hat: Thanks for your help!

I only have 1 piece slotted rotors but I recently upgraded Akebono sport brakes ( my touring wasn't a sport) from Z1 and it made a huge improvement in braking.

You can get 2-piece rotors (and they're amazing). But you will not see any benefit from them unless you are going to the race track with your Z.

Otherwise, stock rotors and pads are nice and beefy for non-a-hole-street-use.

Not true, i have the 2 piece rotors and the weight loss is absolutely apparent even in daily driving. You'd be amazed what reducing some unsprung weight can do.

OP - get the 2 piece front rotors, dont get rotors for the rears yet (z1 will have 2 piece rears soon) and get some decent pads and SS lines with new fluid, thats all you need.

Thank You for Input

Really appreciate all the input. Was looking at my rear rotors last night and they appear to be scored. So, will probably go one piece on the rear. I hope to track the car some day, so definitely two piece on the front. Any thoughts on pads? Z1 offers several options as part of the Sport Brake Upgrade Kit. Again, I really appreciate the help.
