Where to drill holes for rear damper adjustment?

Does anyone have a print out or diagram on where to drill holes so that coilover dampers can be easily accessed?

I know several members have done it (Raphael comes to mind) but I don't know if anyone has actual drawings or vectors to print out to help DIYers. Any suggestions on getting proper registration would be appreciated since I'm going to be driving with my interior installed most of the time.

Cheers!

I can make you a template or we can do it at the next meet. We can use the old foil transfer technique.

I'll need mine cut out soon too. I saw someone did cut a nice hole and used a desktop cable cap that had a hole but kept it looked professionally cut.

Yeah Raphael, I'd appreciate that. I won't make the next meet but I will try for the one after that.

I might be able to take whatever you give me and make a printable file for people to print out and match up to their own pillars. I'm sure there are others who'd be interested in doing this.

Don't do what I did. I didn't measure, did one side great and one side is off. You can use a hole saw for door locks

The desktop cap is a great idea, you can cut a larger hole and not have to worry as much about precision. As long as you do a rough measurement and cut the holes the same you should be fine.

If you have the coils removed from the rear, use a marker from the Underside and make a mark on the plastic panel, then remove and simply drill out where the mark is.
