Brake pad question
Wonder why anyone doest run Centric posi-quiet pads. Z1 has them included in their brake upgrade but are they good? Better or worse than stock pads?
I don't track my car and I want some brakes that'll fit my needs of city driving but idk which one I should go with. I know for sure to stay away from hawk pads cuz they're brutal on the rotors. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments regarding the posi-quiet pads? Thanks |
from what i've read stock pads are the best for daily driving and last a long time.

Let's say I wanna take the car to the track one day and drive it hard. Will the stock pads hold up?
Another quick question, same scenario I take it to the track, but I have slotted and drilled rotors, will they crack after running them hard just once I'm asking cuz I wanna feel confident with what I buy is gonna hold up and not suck. |

depends on the car. I preferred hawk ceramics on my C6, but on my wife's Z4, the centrics feel great. No experience with them on the Z, since I haven't had stock calipers on the car since shortly after I bought it.

Sooooooooo OEM pads will do?

remember that sticky street tires will probably be your best upgrade in terms of reducing stopping distances. |
If you have never tracked before. You'll be fine.

So the Z1 upgrade for sport package w/ slotted rotors, oem pads, ss lines, and motul 600 fluid and I'll be good? Or should I just upgrade the package to the two piece rotors?

Call John@Z1, tell him Happy Birthday and tell him "Andrew the ásshole sent me"
He'll tell you what you need for what. He's not a BS guy |
