Dusk shields and after market rotors

Just a quick question (did use the search function but couldnt find a solid answer)

I am about to upgrade my stock rotors to a CZP front rotor (from base to sports) and i know i have to buy different dust shields for the sports package rotors.

the rear rotors will be the z1 rotors so there shouldnt be a problem with the rear dust shields, but what if i want to change it to another set of aftermarket rotors in the future? Will i have a problem with the dust shield in the future?

how about the front? the front dust shield looks different than the rear so i would assume it would be fine with the CZP rotors that are significantly larger?

The front dust shield must be cut off to do a a Base --> Sport brake upgrade.

Either that or remove the whole hub to uninstall the front shield.

I recommend tin snips :-)

I didn't have to trim anything UPFRONT on my touring when I put on the sport brakes. I did however have to CUT the dust shield in the rear for the larger rotor to fit. I simply used cut-off wheels and then sanded the cut edges. Finished it up with paint so the cut edge wouldn't rust. Fit PERFECT after all that. I swapped to SS lines as well at that time. Replacing the dust shield in the rear is going to be a PITA btw.

When I installed my 2 piece Racing Brake rotors. On the rear, I had to grind some so they wouldn't rub.
