Z is silver, guess I've always been set on Red. In fact, I just bought my 2012 a couple of months ago, new, but left over inventory. I almost didn't get it because the rotor color wasn't red like the 2013 Sport, but couldn't resist the price at 40500 for a new vert.

Well I can tell you purple looks HOT on silver... Red and silver is your safe choice so its up to you...

Purple calipers with a gunmetal wheel would look nasty!! Just a thought.
Pics below to show how great purple goes with silver :)

Purple would certainly be a statement. Hey, see you're in So Carolina, any chance you may be going to Z1's Nationals. Wife and I are thinking about it and after, heading to So Carolina to look at some retirement homes in and around Myrtle Beach.

Thanks for the info

Jim

Hey Jim, I don't think we will be going to Z nationals but my wife and I certainly could meet up and we can show you and the wife around.

PM me and we can swap numbers

I'll be at Znats. Giving away powdercoating gift certificates there too.

I hope I can score one of those. Gotta decide what color I want though.

I'm really happy with my powder coated calipers from Mike. But I don't track my car.

Jimc 09-11-2013 07:57 PM

Seizer8 - They look great peaking through your wheels. I am fairly sure I will go with Mike. Did you change everything out or have it done at a repair center?

Curious, how hard to do or how much did the dealer charge.

Thanks for posting...

Unless you are brake savy have a pro do it, I am sure Mike can disassemble the pistons and seals and put back together as good if not better then new... If you tear a seal or mess something up it is what stops your car so dont jack with it yourself.

Also the dealer doesnt powder coat nor would they paint calipers... if they offer to it will be a guy in the back rattle canning your calipers for $1000 dollars!

If you cant go without your car just buy a set from Mike or used online and ship to him then when he send back to you either you or someone else can install them and then you can sell yours and get your money back.

Mike, I'd be interested if you came across a good powder color that still looks good after fading. Ie figure out and purposely tint for them to be cooked on track. Other than "JDM Red"
