Touch up paint on brake caliper

Can I fix this paint chip with regular touch up paint? Or do I need to specifically get caliper paint?

My vote is caliper paint!

I’m not sure if regular paint can with stand the heat. I would go with G2 caliper paint or just a caliper paint and blot the chipped area. Not sure if it would be a perfect match though. You can also consider powder coating them in a red again or a different color to go with your yellow Z. That’s just an alternative option.

Yah, engine enamel should work too.

try regular touch up paint first. get some victory red GM paint, its really close. If it doesn't hold up, change tactics, but no reason to get too elaborate to start with.

That definitely makes sense is sounds pretty logical. Thanks for the color/paint suggestion. After all it is a very tiny spot on the brake caliper. No need to go overboard...

Bought a red touch up paint stick and used it to cover up the chipped spots. The color match was pretty good but more importantly it seems to be holding up fine.

Just wanted to chime in and second Victory Red. I picked up some GM VR touchup paint and the match is almost perfect. Maybe a tiny bit brighter than the Nissan red but close enough not to notice.

Is this what you guys are talking about? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ALJ4B0 ? Just ordered Z1 2 piece rotors so I figure I'll touch up my calipers while I'm doing that. Thanks!

That should work. I bought this type from Auto Zone. Just a different packaging, I guess.
