350Z Nismo suspension VS 370Z nismo suspension

Got the 370Z Nismo suspension yesterday (thanks Performance Nissan) and while I was putting it away, I just had to compare it to the 350Z Nismo kit.

Front:

The 370Z Nismo springs have less coils and less spring thickness by 0.3mm. The shock has a shorter rebound stroke by a large margin and is much shorter in overall height. The springs are about the same height and width.

Rear:

The 370Z Nismo springs have less coils and are at least a 25mm shorter. The shocks are a few mm taller and appear to have the same stroke length. Didn't measure the spring thickness of the springs and appear to be the same width.

Most importantly it clears up beyond a doubt that a 350Z Nismo kit will NOT fit a 370Z.

It will be interesting to see how much of a drop it will be and how the 370Z stock springs compare to a 350Z stock springs and the 370Z Nismo kit.

More to follow after the weekend.

If you're wondering how much of a drop, it's 10mm or .4 inches as stated on nissanusa.com. But you don't need camber kits, etc.

You going to do before/after pictures with same angles?

Nismo suspension is very stiff

Zat - did you get your Nismo suspension under the Z yet? Curious what you think of it. I have an 09 Nismo 370 and the suspension is brutally stiff.

check for factory shipping spacers, if they are gone and it still feels too ruff then why did you get a nismo? you knew it would be.

Just out of curiousity, I know the 370z springs fit on a g35, which in turn is the same as the 350z if you follow probably just different spring rates and stiffnesses, but I am not sure. I am currently running Tanabe NF springs, and my question is would I be able to run a nismo or other 350z strut on my 370. There is no option for any type of shock for the 370z. Mine are very close or have just gone, and I need an option besides coils.

Do any of you guys think 350z struts would work on a 370z with tanabe NF springs? mine are busted and I have no options

No ... they are different lengths and stroke lengths. As far as I know, no 350Z/G35 suspension pieces will fit the 370Z and visa versa.

The springs fit between the 370 and 350/g35. I have swapped them out stock for stock for about a .5 drop on the 350. I put aftermarkets on my 370.

And rightly so if you plan on tracking the Nismo. The stiffness is wonderful on a track and very much appreciated. Otherwise definitely get softer feeling parts for daily driving. :tiphat:
