Ill post pictures. Im only concerned about how to drop it. Not entirely understanding this whole pre-sprung thing and how to keep it like that. I'm going to read and research like a Boss all tonight so tomorrow I'm prepared

you adjust height by loosening the retaining nut (bottom gold colored one) and threading the bottom of the shock body up or down. dont mess with the springs or the gold nuts holding it in place.

the pain in the *** is you have to unbolt the bottom of the shock body from the car to adjust height.

What he said, don't mess with the other rings, they're for spring pre-load adjustment and unless you know what you're doing, you could make the car ride funky as hell.

Grats on the sweet coils.

hows your installation going bro?

Jerggy13 06-21-2013 04:59 PM

From all the research I have done you do not want to preload your springs at all. Just adjust the top collars to snug and all your height adjustments on the bottom.

BTW... I have the same Habor Freight jack and I love it.

Good luck man, if i didn't have to work right now I wouldn't mind dropping by to assist. You installing camber kits too?

SgtGoldy 06-21-2013 06:23 PM

Thanks for the info guys! I was called into work before I even had a chance to get started (They needed some help... on my day off :( ) so I will try tomorrow.

Camber kit is already installed for both the front and rear so Im good to go on that

You should be able to adjust it without unbolting the bottom. Tighten the two lock rings under the spring together real tight, then use the spanner wrench on the top ring to turn the assembly clockwise and the bottom ring to turn counter clockwise. Thats how I did mine on my 350z and it worked alright.

Looks more bad *** after the drop! Should give it a few more days till all settles then adjust to your desired height and realignment. Its crazy how much lower you can still go on it. How's she riding compare to the stock spring?

Dude I feel like I could lay frame if I had the time and ability. Way smoother ride right now. The backs are a bit stiffer just to help with any possible rubbing on bumps but the fronts are about 2 clicks softer. I really enjoy it compared to the stock ride. This is my first set of coils so I really couldn't tell you how it compares to others but for me its a different world now.

Yea and I will have to readjust in a bit. I measured them after driving for a bit and they dropped a tad. So I can only assume it will drop a bit more.
