Brake bleeder caps

I found these here, they say they are Toyota, but They are the same as the ones on our sport calipers if anyone is interested.

Good find.

I've created a tag for future members who are looking for these.

Thank You,

seizer8 06-06-2013 09:30 PM

Cool!

DEpointfive0 06-06-2013 10:40 PM

Thank god for that, the dealershit says they're ONLY available with the WHOLE caliper...

DIGItonium 06-07-2013 12:25 AM

Exactly... not much they can do. I was told an auto parts store had some, but it was $13 for a set or something. Definitely bookmarked. These things rot and disintegrate.

Zamfield 04-18-2014 04:24 PM

Searched and found this thread from last year... Ordered myself several of these as mine have rotted and thought I'd revive it again as I'm sure other members are looking for these.

Cheers!

Thanks for the bump again

OldFart 09-25-2014 01:29 PM

For anyone looking I am ordering a few...

Tell us how much they want for shitting shipping

1slow370 09-26-2014 12:52 PM

or you can get them from your local toyota dealer rear disc brake dust cap off a 2009 camry

SouthArk370Z 09-26-2014 01:59 PM

It's been a few decades since I worried about such things (I seldom keep a car long enough to worry about brakes, other than periodic visual inspections), but last time I looked, the brake bleeder valves and dust caps were standardized parts. They only come in a very few sizes (one?) and the physical dimensions for each size are the same. Ie, it doesn't matter which car they are labeled for. Or at least that's the way it was before metrification. YMMV

Yeah i just listed one model in particular so if you go to the dealer you have something to give him instead of "i need those little rubber caps on the calipers off of some car"

OldFart 09-27-2014 05:41 PM

I called the local Toyota dealership and they had a couple in stock... I'm having my calipers redone and a few were missing so figured I'd replace em...

the stock caps are **** anyway. they arent UV tolerant so mine were brittle and fell to pieces when i removed them recently.

i'll admit to stealing some Brembo caps off a nice euro car. Ive never seen brittle or cracked Brembo caps so they are my choice for replacement. you can obtain them legitimately on ebay etc too

Master_Ly 12-18-2014 10:28 PM

I bought these but I haven't got them yet: Helix Racing Products Brake Bleeder Cap 202-1005. Should be fine and will report back once I have them.

Confirmed. Fits like a tight glove! $10.50 for 5 ($2.10 per unit) via eBay. Attached image; new on and deteriorated on finger.
