Powder Coating Calipers

I was thinking about Powder coating my brake calipers for my black cherry 370z, any suggestions on what color would look nice? I was thinking about Gold, something that would pop. What you guys think?

raymondo510 05-05-2013 07:38 PM

Gold would be cool

gtabaz 05-06-2013 12:08 AM

Yeah. That's what I'm thinking of going with too. Or like a brembo burnt orange.

Oh nice burnt orange and hyper purple sounds really sick, yep definitely a color that pops and makes it look like the Nissan brakes are their.

Mike 05-06-2013 07:34 PM

I would go for classy on a black cherry and go color matched.

:iagree: gold would be off since the car isn't black, it's black cherry

Yea I was thinking of the brembos when he said Gold, but at the same time Depointfive0 made a good point, maybe go with color matched, it would be more subtle

Jayshankar 05-07-2013 08:43 PM

That's true too, Black Cherry would look subtle. Just trying to make little change before summer time :) great ideas guys. Thanks for your inputs.

haha that's a little too much now. I'll probably stick to the original black. Maybe black cherry in the near future

gSwift 05-09-2013 12:00 AM

Mike, how much do you charge and what's the turn around time to do the calipers?

/Angelo350Z/ 05-09-2013 01:33 AM

Yellow or gold

Mine are getting sent to Mike in a few thousand miles when I address the rest of the brakes. The OEM gray just isn't doing it for me.

I wish I sent mine when I redid my brakes, I regret it now. :shakes head:

Chuck33079 05-09-2013 08:49 AM

Yeah, the goal with this car is to do everything right the first time. It would piss me off to no end to do the rest of the brakes and still have the gray calipers.

zilverbullet 05-09-2013 01:20 PM

What are your guys' thoughts of blue calipers on a brilliant silver Z?

These look great! The logo is vinyl, correct?

Mike 05-10-2013 12:06 PM

Yes, they are vinyl

sparky 05-10-2013 08:53 PM

Yes and after lots of driving and repeated washing they still look brand new.
