Who makes the Nissan Sport pkg caliper?

I am trying to find out who makes the 2009 370Z Sports pkg caliper offered by Nissan. I tried Google search with no luck. Thanks in advance.

Who are you to determine what is or is not stupid! Knowledge is gained only by asking questions. If that is offensive to you tough $hit!

That question could be answered by doing any research at all on this forum.

Even the vendors call them "Akebono Calipers" on their websites.

Literally ANY research at all can turn up this fact.

I did not know that Akebono was the manufacturer of this caliper. If I knew this I would not have asked the question. As far as I could tell Akebono was another after market part like Brembo, Wildwood, etc. Thus my question. Do me a favor, if you can not be helpful, then keep your comments to yourself or do not respond to my threads.

Come on guys be nice, at one point I was a beginner too in this forum and don't know much $hit about the Z. In fact I am still in the process of learning.

Many of us have the luxury of time searching this forum for answers, reading tons of Threads and comments even the non-sense post.... but others don't.

I treat this forum as our house. If anybody knocks and politely ask for help or ask a question. I do respond in the right manner, correctly as appropriate as possible.

To OP this guys have been helpful I guess they are just tired of answering some questions that have been asked a million times such as the Oil Thread.

I rather be called "Stupid" for asking questions than be "Ignorant" for not asking questions. Enjoy the forum.

“Through friction and vibration, their control and analysis, we are determined to focus on the creation of value from all associates and business partners through mutual respect, encouragement and support.”

This principle guides everyone at Akebono Brake Corporation in every endeavor.

i try to work out everything through friction and vibration....

FYI, if you're looking to upgrade the base brakes, the ones from the G37 are the same exact part, but have a different color and Infiniti logo. They're cheaper for some reason, so most go that route if they plan to powdercoat or save some cash. Z1 Motorsports sells the entire set at a reasonable price. There is plenty of info in the brakes section and a DIY somewhere on here.

I think it's in raised (cast in) lettering on the back of the caliper, I'm pretty sure. If you don't take the caliper off for service or whatever, you will never see it.

There's actually a used set of 370z calipers on myg37.com for 850 that I've been eyeing

Well I am delighted that many have gotten a laugh regarding my question. I did get the response I need to my question. I continue to learn from those that are willing to share their knowledge and to those I say thank you. To the others I say...

SS_Firehawk 04-24-2013 09:23 PM

idk, this is like asking who makes our SP and Nismo rims. We should ask the mods to have a mandatory search bar pop up before a thread is started.

cv129 04-24-2013 09:29 PM

Op,

Hope this helps with your future search. Combination of Google then Ctrl+F yield the answers in 15 seconds.

Besides, you've posted the same question in the "Will it fit" thread and Kaizen z34 already answered you there a couple days ago.
