i'm trying to install the swift to my z today and found that there was an issue with my absorber.

one of my oem front absorber, the middle shaft, does not return to it's original height.

it does not look normal to me compare to the other front absorber.

pull it like you mean it.

if pulling the shaft upward manually by force, won't that damage the absorber function?

is it normal for the middle shaft to be shorter in height?

It's shorter because it got pushed in.. which is normal.

You can definitely pull it out, because that's how the shock works. It gets pulled out by the spring and pushed in by the weight of the car compressing the spring.

Stop worrying about it and pull that fucker out until it fits. :)
