since your wheels have a lot of color, would it be better to just keep it dark gray or even graphite? might have a clown effect if you have too many colors.

I used duplicolor red engine enamel and clear coat to do my wife's brake calipers on her G 37 last year. They are still looking shiny as if they came from the factory like that. Make sure you take your time because you will get what you put into it.

This makes sense. Since there is VERY minimal of yellow on the lip. I think it'll look sharp.

Maybe I should test paint one in the spring and see how it looks

Damn I miss my G :(

Ni55anPat 01-07-2013 08:57 PM

slimmed it down to yellow or "burble"

RN SHARK 01-07-2013 09:41 PM

Yellow. I was thinking yellow too, but just went with the 40th ones from Nissan. I've always thought yellow calipers have such a great look with any color car.

Japanjay 01-08-2013 12:16 AM

I again repeat yellow is the only color that will look right and not out of whack, no other colors from the bag of skittles. And WTF is burple? I am thinking of doing mine MB, but then again I have orange wheels so yellow is out of the question as is any other color for me. But yellow for sure for your car with those wheels. Then get "badass" on the front calipers and "motherfucka" on the rear ones.

LOL

Why not black with white or yellow writing or any color writing if you wanna give it the zing

Japanjay 01-08-2013 12:43 AM

IMO going with a black color will take away from the sight of a BBK. Even with bright colored writing the black caliper will just disappear into the darkness of the fender and wheel well. But then again he may want it to not stand out. But yellow with black writing with my word choice would be subtle enough to get the point across when parked in a sea of domestics. ****, there is alot that come to mind. "P&^^y" & "Magnet" then you got "Panty" & "Dropper" better yet "ICU" & "Hatin". All those 4 are not only true but again get the point across to any domestic you may pull up next to. :happydance:

J/K though, but in all seriousness I would get something like pinstripped on for laughs at car meets and shows. This is also coming from the guy that has "Fuckin' Classey Ain't It?" on my front tower bar. Lol.

DEpointfive0 01-08-2013 01:19 AM

We all have blue cars, now, you're fúcking blinding with the damn orange wheels, so you obviously wanna stand out Ni55anpat wants to stand out with those wheels too, lol

I'm stock, might go with 40th wheels, but still for me... I have no idea what color to make the calipers...
Red would clash IMO, I think stock gray is ok, but I think black withe white writing would look sleek and give a certain pop, not tacky...

Yellow, meh, this ain't no Ferrari or a Porsche to denote carbon ceramic discs... And I NEVER liked it on those cars either

I think body matched would look legit, but I doubt anyone can match them that closely, maybe Mike can chime in?

To each his own though, OP, I'd love to see pics

Mike 01-08-2013 08:23 AM

this is burple. looks blue in some light, purple in other.

That's quite sexy actually

Maybe less purple and you'd be at MBlue!

Or if we send you our gaslid could you match it. Or come closeR (than burple)?

I'm not 100% on what the PC process works on the color matching or mixing
