pop in front end when backing in cold

2012 370. When I back out of the garage in the morning and it is cold outside I get a pop and jerk in the front end when I turn.

It is like the 77 TransAm I had with a limited slip differential. Pop and jerk when turning. This is defiantly in the front end so I cannot believe it is the differential transferring to the front suspension. Any thoughts? Thanks

Have you done any mods is my first question. I dont it would be due to temp since you are keeping it in the garage. could possibly be a loose bolt on the sway bars.

My car does this too.

Almost like the tire is skipping when turning slowly.

Wen the car warms up or is driven it goes away.

I wonder if its the tire

It's called fat summer tires in low temps

This happens because the tires are cold. You have summer tires on the car and they skip or slip at low temps and speeds. There is nothing wrong with your car.

It gets cold in Kentucky, you might want to get some all seasons tires for the winter time then switch back to your summer tires when it warms up.

That's what I figure so never cared for it.

Yeah, like everybody said. It's the tires skipping some when turning. I only get this backing out from my garage at low speed. The bigger the tire, the worst it is. You should feel it with 275's on front. :shakes head:

No suspension mods. There should not be anything to make the tires skip (pop and jerk) on the pavement. Just because they are wide or considered summer tires they still should track parallel when turning. It could be the differential transferring to the front. A limited slip differential does this when cold.

Thanks

It feels like a ball joint pop when it happens. I've only got 16,000 miles on my Nismo. It has done it from day one. Everything is tight on the front of the car too. Being an ASE Master Tech at one time and a track junkie. I know what my car is doing and feeling.
