Got some EBC Yellow Stuff Pads
 

Searched around and didnt find anyone with these pads, this was a big supprise for me since I used to have the EBC redstuff pads on my previous car and they were great at the track. The yellow stuff pads are more agressive. I also put in Motul 600 fluid and I ordered the cooling ducts last week.

I will try these pads before installing the cooling ducts to be able to compare. Anyways if anyone is interested ill post a mini review soon.

I bought some YellowStuff pads to use at Road Atlanta this past weekend. I had never used this brand of pads before. I was concerned about all the stories I heve heard about brake fade and 'ice mode' on the Z. I chose EBC because of so many mixed comments on other brands. I also changed my fluid to ATE blue. To say the least, I am very impressed with these pads. I never experienced any fade and after changing them back to my regular pads, they didn't show significant wear.

It is important to note that these pads require a lot of heat to work properly. They are not good pads to use on the street.

You should also be careful when you order these as there is a lot of confusion about what fits our cars. This comes directly from the EBC website, which is wrong. I have the sport brakes and the proper pads are DP41823 (front).

After a long and demanding weekend at the track, I would confidently recommend these pads to anyone to use and will buy them again in the future.

Chops... I tmhink the ebc redstuff is one of the best street sport pads out there i never get cold weather down here so i dont k ow if they sqweal during cold winters. To me they were perfect. They were good enough for some track use and had les dust than most stck pads.

Buck.. Yea i had to call couplw webpages to get thw right one. They seem to not k ow the aport package has different size than non sport. Anyways i got the rifht one. Im glad tou like them for track. How is the dust on them?

As you know, the EBC pads have a coating on them to help bed them in. After bedding in the pads and my first track session, there was a ton of dust on the wheels . I thought the pads would never last the weekend. I wiped the dust off and drove the rest of my sessions over the weekend without much dust at all. I was pretty alarmed at the initial dusting, but after the initial session, they reduced the dust and as I mentioned in my previous reply had a surprising amount of pad left on them after an entire weekend at the track. I think the initial heavy dust was from the coating and before the full curing of the pads.

Very true on my track 240sx. They're pretty good on track, but I hated using them for auto-X because I have to be in my 3rd run before the pads works "right."

Went to the track today and had no fade at all. (I also have motul 600 fluid) and I dont have the cooling ducts installed yet. the bite is great and made trail braking a Piece of cake.. (with good tires jeje)

The brake dust is MUCH MUCH less than the sport stock pads. Combine these with good set of tyres and this car will turn some heads

I run the YellowStuff pads and their sloted + dimpled rotors on my 4x4 Power Wagon. I get no dust from the pads on it. I also run the same set-up on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. On it, I get a bunch of dust. Go figure?

how do i know which pads fit my non-sport brakes?!

There are different part numbers. I can give you the part numbers for mine (sport model) and We can assume the other part numbers will fit your car.

so are these really bad for street use then? I'm seeing a lot of mixed opinions on these on other forums. Seems like these are supposed to be a mixed use (street / track) material with decent cold performance. Some comments agree with that and some say they need to be up to temperature before they work right...

I used them at my last trackday with no problems.

Do you change the pads just for the track or do you use them all the time?

Used them for both track and DD. Remember, I'm running 2 piece rotors and brake cooling ducts too.
