I'm currently running motul 660 ss lines and hawk plus on stock rotors. Brakes are holding up really well full sessions and even a few back to back non stop sessions.
Next is get the clutch line and upgrade fluid to motul too, just picked up brake cooling ducts 2 hrs ago!! |
The new Motul RBF 660 brake fluid has a higher dry boiling point than the more expensive Castrol synthetic but a somewhat lower wet boiling point. If you are changing fluid often the Motul might be a better choice.
Has anyone tried the titanium thermal shims from HardBrakes.com, seems like they might help some. Perhaps with the brake ducts, the Motul RBF 660 fluid, some serious track pads and some thermal shims you might end up with a workable system. |
Right now, I don't really have any brake issues even in at buttonwillow, chuckwalla, willowsprings. I just picked up the stillen brake ducts, I will want to upgrade to 2 piece rotors atleast in the front and a different pad this time. One thing I noticed, getting used to applying less brake each time.............and hauling more ***!
