Have a problem brake light and traction light comes on

When I'm shifting hard 1-2 or 2-3, brake light comes on, then the traction light will stay on. The brake light will go on and off but the traction light won't go away until I turn on and off the car.

Thoughts? FYI I was at the track on saturday, the brake light going on and off happened right before though.

Here is a short clip of the traction error light and brake light coming on and off
Brake light and traction issue - YouTube

The traction light is not the VDC off light.

You are wearing down your brake pads and the fluid level has dropped. Install new pads OR top up your fluid. The light will go away. Bin there, dun that!

Thanks, I will check both out later today.
What about the traction light???

They work as a team to indicate low fluid.

I had that problem too. Topped off the fluid and I was good to go.

I hope to GOD this is what my issue is. I will change brake pads soon, I know my pads have less than 30% last time I checked.

I have been having the exact same issue... I topped off my fluid, however the lights still come one. Could it be something else? One or more sensors gone bad? I'm just hesitant to take it in and pay for a diagnostic...

do not top off brake fluid, when you change the pads and push the piston in it will overflow and ruin the paint and even then you will be overfilled when you do the new pads

Put a couple of rags under the the master cylinder to catch the brake fluid like we all do. The float sensor in the master cylinder is set too high. If the fluid gets a tad low. The Anti-slip light and brake light WILL come on. And the fluid level is not that low. You should read more on past threads, and the fixes that was done.
