OEM rotor for track day

Hello,
I was wondering if I could get away with my OEM sport package brake rotors for a track day or two? I have 35000 k's on them, or about 23000 miles. I have already installed Motul 600 brake fluid and SS lines too. Also, I am going to use Carbotech X8 pads for the track. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks!!:tiphat:

Stop Tech rotors for sure!! Drilled and slotted. If you have $1200 for rotors alone? DBA is a good brand.

Thanks.. So you don't think the stock rotors will do the trick for a couple of track days?

They should do ok.

They will do fine.. I do about 6 track days a summer and I use the oem sport rotors with the brembo calipers. You won't have any problems doing one or two days unless you are lapping with some serious pace out there

Thanks for the help. I will go with the OEM's and then upgrade after I use them all up!

Can't wait now.. Cheers!!!

OEM rotors r fine...i tracked wit them plus motul rbf600 fluids n stock pads at SOW twice last year...no problems...im still on stock pads lol

Stock rotors are more than sufficient for street tires. Carbotech XPs are excellent and you said you already upgraded the fluid. That's the setup I'm using on the track going on almost a dozen track days a year.

Thats sounds great then, thanks for the advice.. I guess I will spend my money on other stuff for the car!

Cheers!!

I track with the OEM rotors and they've worked fine. I did develop a bad steering wheel wobble under heavy braking after two years of tracking with them. Swapped the front rotors for new OEMs last week (only $90 each) and the wobble is gone.
