Are my Swift Springs installed correctly?

1 Attachment(s)
Got my Swift Springs installed along with my new wheels and tires two days ago. I went to go get a alignment today and noticed that the rear springs have the tighter coiled section on the bottom instead of the top (like the fronts do). Are they properly installed? (pic attached)

Also, the idiots that did my alignment got it all wrong. Steering was off to the left by 5-10 degrees. so i took it back once I noticed and they "fixed" it. Now, the front right wheel seems to be rubbing against the brake pad. WTF? I noticed that taking the car above 60 mph the rear wheels make a thumping noise. Im upset everything feels and sounds horrible. :shakes head:

Help and suggestions?

The springs are upside down lol, tight coils should at the top. Dunno about the noise you're getting though.

Op, do you have some basic tools, a jack and jack stands? If so you can switch out those rear springs yourself. Its really easy and I'm assuming that thumping noise your hearing is due to the springs being upside down.

You need to find a another mechanic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, did the shop give you a printout of the alignment? If so post it up so we can see whats going on.

if there is a thumping sound, they probably left something loose while doing the alignment. you can swap around those springs in 30 minutes.

I have Tein springs with the word "Tein" printed on the spring itself... I'm assuming Swifts are the same way... Point being you would have to be a complete idiot to install the springs in the wrong orientation... The mechanic didn't think it was strange that the word "Swift" was upside down?

Hey guys thanks for the response. Yah, the rear springs were installed wrong. Seems like alot of mechanics get confused for some reason. LOL.

As far as the noise and alignment issue everything was fixed and the car drives perfect now. Went to the shop that did my alignment yesterday and asked for a refund. They were being a little anal about refunding it but i showed them the alignment papers that i did today. :happydance:

This is what I call "like a boss". To punish and enslave.

Im going to post a new thread of the new wheels on the car. Feel free to check it out in the wheels and tires section. Again, thanks for all the responses. :tiphat:
