for some reason, springs sounds alot easier to do rather than spacers. taking apart my brake calipers sound difficult.
|
It's really not hard at all. Use 1/2" sockets and extensions and a breaker bar

I think it only scared me because my friend said it took him 4 hours just to put spacers in the rear. After looking at the DIY it doesn't look too bad. Just gotta unbolt some stuff and get something to keep the calipers up while i whack away at the rotor to loosen it.

Even the front isn't difficult, just take the wheels off and spray down the rotors and studs with some PB blaster the day before if you can. |
Spacer install is a million times easier than spring install.
Complete spring install? The fronts are a pita and will take more than 4 hours to do it. Not sure how you guys got the whole car done in 4 hours! It took me several hours and lots of cussing to do mine, but I worked alone and had some issues but it was done. Check out the DIY on the site on what all it entails. My best tip: Only use a 6 point socket set! (this is where I messed up) |

finally put the swifts and spacers on my car. Spacers took about 3 hours and springs took about 4 by itself. Had a very hard time aligning the bottom of the strut to the control arm piece. Had to compress my springs 2 or 3 times to get it right. In the end however, car looks great and feels fantastic :D thanks for the help guys.
