Coilover question?!

Hey guys and gals!

I could use a little help here I guess...I have never been big on coilovers but I know if I want the best handling I can get for the money coilovers is the way to go.

As of now I have nismo shocks with h&r springs and I have only used springs never coils. So I know some come with a dampering system you can manipulate easily like the teins.

What should I go with...? I will use the car here and there for street use but I do want the coilovers more for track use. And also is it easier to go a dampering system like tein has? Or should I go with the manual system with that little wrench?

So best coilover to use for track (but still can use a little on street) and should I go with the EFDC controller or manual dampering? THANKS!

If you want to spend a lot more $$$ than you really want you could go with the teins and the EDFC. Or you could save a lot and go with K&W V3's. I have them myself and I do street/canyon runs. Haven't had a chance to hit a track yet, but I love them. :tiphat:

ya i was think tein with the edfc but i was wondering if there was any other coilover with same or better performance? i dont have to have the edfc though that is just a plus i guess for teins

and ya i see alot of people with the kw v3. u saying they are pretty much same as tein without the controller?

Honestly, EDFC is for old ladies or ballers. I've driven a few cars with it and it's not like it can transform a race car into a Cadillac.

Damping adjustment is a MINIMUM requirement on coilovers, as well as shock body height adjustment. Adjusting height with the spring preload is bad.

Here are a few options for you at a couple different price points.

Tein Mono Flex Coilovers Nissan 370Z 09+
Cusco Zero 2E Coilovers Nissan 370Z 09+
Ksport Coilovers Kontrol Pro Damper System Nissan 370Z 09+
KW Variant 3 Coilover Kit Nissan 370Z Coupe 09+

yeah i wouldnt worry so much about the edfc. i had a chance to get it and in the end i realized that i probably would hardly ever use it. Also with the TEINS its easy to adjust anyway as you can adjust from the engine bay for the front and the rears are adjusttable in the wheel well. No opening the interior each time.
