As an addition to the info...Which springs require chamber adjustments?
If so do specific springs require chamber alignment kits to get the right specs? Or can it be done with the OEM set up.

Don't waste your time like I did. It did NOT lower the car by .4 inches, it in fact raised my fronts .5 inches! And the rear was the same height. Get swifts or Tein H tech if you don't want to go very low.

Correct me if I'm wrong TjLazer

That is correct. The nismo suspention did not lower my car at all, it raised my front by .5 inches. If you look carefully at all Nismo 370's you will see that the fronts look a little higher!

has anyone tried the megan spring?

thispecialk 02-27-2012 01:40 AM

im thinking about either getting the swift springs or the megan springs. can you guys tell me how they do on speed bumps and dips if they scrap a lot. what has the best drop that still good for road condition without having to worry about scrapping on speed bumps

djpathfinder 02-27-2012 08:56 AM

The 370Z crowd seems to love Swift springs. Don't think you could go wrong with them.

Based on what I'm reading most places. Eibach pro kit is less of a drop than swifts. Wouldntt that be more ideal for this situation? I'm actually in a similar situation. I'm leaning toward the pro kit myself..

TongMan 02-27-2012 09:45 AM

I have the eibach pro kit and I'm lower than onzedge and his swifts.

mz3035 02-27-2012 11:34 AM

Lol.. Funny thing is, I havery Eibach sportlines on my se-r spec v and after settling, the car sits way lower than advertised. Tongman, how much did they drop you car?

Tire heights? Or, more likely, sag

What the eibachs do over time

mz3035 02-27-2012 04:52 PM

I might just get the swifts.. Seems like they have made everyone happy that has chosen them

all u guys use spring, how long does the stock shock last? bc I m thinking get z drop too about 1.25f and 1.r, but its my daily driving so I wonder, I would be fine with spring or just get coilover for long run? let me know what yall think. thanks

If you can afford coilovers then do it right the first time. You will be able to choose your ride height, adjust dampening, and have the same shock travel no matter how low you go.

On my 350z i did Tanabe springs and it rode ok but not great (bounced more)
Put BC racing coilovers on later and it is what i should have done in the first place, no bouncing, ride was very comfortable but stiff around corners.

If price is the issue then go springs. but don't expect much besides looks. Unless you replace the struts as well and at that point you might as well just gone with coilvovers.

edub370 03-02-2012 07:18 AM

Most people that just want a slight drop without too much compromise in ride quality go with swifts. They seem to work really well on our cars and provide about a 1" drop. A lot of people, like myself, have been able to get within or almost within stock camber specs with swifts as wellu

BC Coils, about 1.25 front and rear. Will be trying to get the front to 1.5.

with coilovers are you able to adjust the height? (newbie speaking)
