coilover suggestions?

Wanting to buy some coilovers and currently looking at Tein. Figured i would be paying 2000 for some good coilovers. Was wondering if anybody has the Tein basics. Descent price but dont want to buy crap. Anybody have some Stance?

I just put TEIN Monoflex with EDFC (yet to be wired up) on mine. The car feels amazing even with the damping as soft as it can be (set at the initial installation). It's difficult not to drive the car even on ice because it feels so amazingly stable. You can probably get a quote from any of our sponsors for around $2500.

Stance is the setup I am planning on going with, I have seen a few in person and talked to people who have used them for track use and have not heard a bad comment at all.

Stance is good if you want to run as low as possible. Unfortunately the spring rates are a little weak- I had a set on the shop car before I went with A'pexi. A'pexi has really stepped up their game with the new coilovers...very well engineered compared to all the other kits I've seen.

TEIN is also really good, but for the price of the Basic line of coils you could get something with more features.

For a 2,5K budget, why don't you go with KWv3?

:iagree: Z1 has them right under 2k and I'm sure u can find a better deal if u shop around.

me2. I'm running them now and I have tested them recently at Streets of Willow. Very good I must say! :D

Those or the BC Coilovers.

RedBullRR 01-20-2011 10:43 AM

I'm going with the BC best bang for your buck from what I have read.

SPOHN 01-20-2011 02:53 PM

I agree.

I got some thinking to do....thanks for the advice. I like how you can go real low with Stance. Always thought they were a pretty good product? Might look into KWv3 and see if i can get a good price. Im not so much looking for racing, but more comfort and ride height.....might just have to bite the bullet and get some tein mono flex

808isle_Z 01-20-2011 08:29 PM

Not sure if i could do bc.....anyone have them that could vouch for them.

SPOHN 01-20-2011 08:49 PM

There are plenty of people here. Search and you'll find all sorts. I'll have a review soon enough.

Wait... what....... o________O
Mike B. used to race his 370Z in Red Line Time Attack and he had BC Coilovers on his Z and he whooped everyone's butts. lol...
Definetly the bang for buck coilover out there for our Z's.
And if are going to say yeah he only tracked it then wrong!
The Z was also his dd and still is!

Tein Super Street 1350-1400$ best price I believe, you can add EDFC anytime later as manual damper setting is a bit tough

Liquid_G 01-21-2011 09:35 AM

Stance GR+ Owner here.. I've been happy with them. and yes you can get super low as others have said..

$575 including alignment. I already paid the tax of $162 on $1850 so that was out the door. $2587. I guess I'm lucky. Combined with the sways I am loving life. I still might make a few minor adjustments.
