Suspension Question!
Hello.
I am trying to get ready for spring season. And made my decision with tires. I will be getting Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's on the Sports Package rims.. Running the fronts 275/35ZR19 Running the rears 305/30zR19 I was wondering If I would have any rubbing issues if I were to drop with Swift Springs. It's 1.25'' front and 1'' rear drop. Also, would I need any additional suspension work? Camber kits or arms? |
I'm thinking about tje same tire setup with the H&R springs.

With that drop a camber kit will be needed. Considering the drop and the offset of the sport wheels I'm not sure if there would be rubbing issues. Someone else should know. It would have to be close with 275's. If you can swing it a coilover would work in you favor.

But not enough to put back in spec with this amount of drop. Unless your not looking for spec and want to go more aggressive. Especially with the toe. Spend the little extra and only get one alignment. Plus you have the option of changing it for track days if your into that.

I was able to dial mine back to -1.9 in the rear with Swift springs so I did not bother with a camber kit.

What about toe in the rear and camber in the front?

you cant adjust front camber.
with anything greater than an inch drop you will be outa factory alignment on both front and rear. tires should fit even though they are super meaty for the sport package rims. i know you said you need spring weather tires but even here in texas on a cold night the tires will not hold air. my V12's HHHAAAAATTTTEEEEEEEE the cold. if you leave your Z out over night be ready to fill your tires soon. they do not hold air in the cold weather. also you will not rub, unless you are running spacers with that setup. |
Hmm I read somewhere that u can adjust front camber a little.. can't find the thread though
Edit: the swift springs review thread has some guys stating they did not need camber arms to get back to spec. |
I know you can't adjust front camber. That's why I was asking how the one guy adjusted the alignment settings at all four corners. And if he did the rear there's know way it was back to factory settings. I do remember a thread about about adjusting the front camber a little. But from what I see on my car, I don't see how this is possible.

im dropped an inch on tein springs. my rear camber is at the maxium factory spec. -1.9. i dont want to run this much camber since its my DD. if you do then cool!
please find that thread because i would love to adjust my front camber.... (SPL wheres your front camber kit!!!!???!!!!) |

I personally say get them and call it the day. If you don't and go get an alignment and the specs are off a good bit. Then you'll have to pay for another alignment. The front camber is not adjustable. The rear camber and toe is adjustable but not by much. If the drop was less than an inch I wouldnt worry so much.
