Not as low as most of you but I already rub on dips in the road and any curb even at an angle.

I agree with you guys. I'm not slammed and still scrape. What helped me a lot was raising it a 3/8" and have not scraped since. Still coming it at sharp angles and slowing down on dips. Not totally sold on how it looks so I may lower it 3/16"

So along the lines of this, any of you on the East Coast go to H2O this year?

Pretty sick (and funny at the very end) video of the 2013 event:

I was there Friday and Saturday. It was pretty wild this year.

To any of you guys that are very low, do your upper control arms bottom out and hit the body?

A lot of what the VIP Lexus guys with real low ride heights do is cut a small notch in the fender well or just bash it in to allow more clearance.

Like so:
http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5455/9...b886ee4f_b.jpg

Then they weld in a ring to keep the structural support of the fender well.

Now I am not saying you should do this by any means, I am simply pointing out what they have been doing for years to remedy this problem.

The best I could find from Iwan72's build thread...

Dropped on HKS Hipermax III , wheels K3 Projekt 1, front 20x9+15 with spacer putting it at -2..rear 20x11+15 with spacer putting it at +0. I didn't see any tire info, but I was just skimming through.

vividracing 12-16-2013 06:50 PM

He's pretty secretive on the tire specs, may need to butter him up

You're correct, 20X9 ET18 fronts (ET-2 with 20mm spacers) and 20X11 ET25 (ET 0 with 25mm spacers) Tire wise, at the moment i'm running 225/35/20 up front and 255/35/20 on the rears. It's quite hard to find 215/205 for 20s :shakes head: I'm gonna downsize the rears to 245 in the future though.

Plasti-dipped, nightshaded, or vinyl wrapped the edges. He did the same with the headlights!

Check out Pintsize's albums as well as my build page and a few others for ideas..

They look great on his ride

This has to be on bags, unless you really have no fücks left to give!

6MT-Z34 01-09-2014 12:55 PM

This is probably a dumb question but thus being on bags affect the handling? I mean I don't track my Z will I notice much difference in DD and once in a while spirited driving?

Airbags you can set the stiffness to be the same as some 12-14k setups. It'll ride like butter during the normal driving, but will stiffen up like a rock when you get rowdy.

Just a costly price tag to play.. I think they start around 3-4k without install.

Is that a question? It clearly has Air-rex's signature with "air suspension systems" in the photo.

EVOR 01-09-2014 11:03 PM

Starting price $5K. After SEMA I did took it to Global time Attack. I handles great. Too bad forgot to put on oil cooler, oil temp went up to 230. ECU lock up power to go any faster.
