Hi guys,
I know this is not a very smart question but I hope u guys can help me to open my knowledge. As I have been reading, Some says that they use the combo of KONI & Swift. Does that mean that Koni coilover + swift spring on top? Is that ok if we use Stance coilver + Swift spring on top? is that also mean that we took the spring on the Coilover out and put the Swift spring on?

In my case Koni and Swift = Swift springs with Koni strut (in the front) and shocks/dampers in the rear -- not coil-overs.

The Koni & Swift combo means that they replace the oem strut/shock with the koni strut/shocks & use swift lowering springs with them. This is a nice combo if you're looking for a stiffer, more track oriented suspension setup.

As for the Stance coilovers. These will use a different type of Swift springs, these won't be the 370Z Swift Spec R lowering springs, but universal linear metric coilover springs. These springs come in different sizes and spring rates to customize the coilover's performance/characteristics to your liking/needs.

Hopefully this helped clear some questions up.

Ordered the Koni Yellows from KamiSpeed, next best quote was 25 bux less but I went with KamiSpeed since I've done business with them before and their customer service was excellent both times.

I was told that the 'floaty' feeling during fast driving over uneven surfaces will be gone since the shocks will be stiff; here's hoping for that being true. I didn't want to get coils because I have Swift springs and they are great from personal experience of 4K miles on em now. I've read nothing but good things about Koni + Swift on here.

Anyways, I'll report back after Seb@SpecialtyZ does the install. I'll also ask him to install the 20/25MM spacers for me since the wheels will be off anyway. I got base wheels and will post pics after all is done.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for great info in this thread. Of all the car fourms I've checked out, this one is really special... without bias :)

Hey onzedge, what settings are you using front/rear for your shocks?

370zjames 10-17-2012 01:42 AM

I just installed 20F/25R and rear camber kit, Lowered on Swift. I was wondering, what are the alignment specs for people who is running same setup. Thank you!

corner3garage 10-17-2012 01:45 AM

From what many of my customers have been telling me the swift springs bring the camber in the front to about negative 1.8-2 degrees camber and in the rear about negative 2-2.5 degrees of negative camber.

I set the rears to one click lower (softer) than the middle setting and the fronts right in the middle. I originally had the fronts and rears one click stiffer than these settings, but the car was too "bouncy" and had to soften them by one click each to my current settings. Having the fronts slightly stiffer than the rears helps a great deal with turn-in.

I dont quite remember. I was playing with the settings a lot and forget where I ended up leaving them:icon17: I have been feeling that I would like them a bit stiffer lately though.
