Stock vs touring

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the base model sway bars and the touring/sport? Trying to decide if I need to buy Stillen sways again (yea, i said again)

I'm pretty sure that the sways are the same on the base and the touring. The Nismo has different sways.

Where can I find a review, or which brand of sway bars would folks recommend?

Stillens are popular as well as Hotchkis, white line. If you go to each companies website they offer the exact specs. I'm using Hotchkis, and I'm pretty happy with them.

To Sophia, I agree with that there is no difference between the two.

I thought it was either Hotchkins or STILLEN. Also, some were posting about White line.

you guys auto-x or something? i dont find the Z's factory swaybars that soft...(?)

Jeffblue 10-12-2010 03:22 PM

didn't you have both Z's at once? why didn't you put the stock sways on the old Z before trading it in? how many mods did you transfer and how many mods did you leave on the car?

vipor 10-12-2010 03:24 PM

I've never found a definitive answer on whether the NISMO has upgraded sways or not...

If the sport and base have the same sways, I find that odd becuz it seems like a big difference between the two. I don't feel like I even need the Stillen sway on this one.

Jeffblue- I didn't swap the sways becuz it would cost me too much for the transfer.( I take it to my mechanic since I can't do most stuff on my own) But I switched over the headlights, FI exhaust w/ HFCs, and Stillen grounding kit. And of course my 20" wheels and tires. I left on my car after trade-in; S-Tune spoiler, Stillen sway bars, leds on door panels, roof wing, painted door handles, and Stillen Gen 2 intakes and the Swarovski crystals on the interior LOLz

The above comment is from another thread months ago.
Do sway bars change the cars ride on the freeway or around town? I assume the stiffness is only in the turns. The DD/Track recommendation throws me. Can someone please elaborate? Thank you.

The Thickness between the two makes on more suitable for the Street while the other for more aggressive track driving.
