Ooops, brakes are slow to respond.
I installed wheel spacers this weekend and had a heck of a time getting the caliper back on the passenger side wheel. I loosened the bolts on the caliper and let some fluid out. After getting it back on my brakes are slow to respond. The car actually wants to swerve to the driver's side if I brake hard so I/m sure I did something improperly on the passenger side.
Does anyone with knowledge of brake systems have any ideas? Thank you. |
Sounds like you need to bleed your brakes.

take it to a shop maybe?

Most likely you let air into your system when you let some of the fluid out. Next time just compress the piston on that side which will make it easier to fit the caliper back on. You will need to bleed your brakes ASAP. take it to a shop if you're unsure of how to do that.

Also, you may want to cover the ends of your c-clamp with heavy tape to prevent scratching the caliper. |
