Need a Tester for New Coilovers!!!
Hello All,
We have 1 (one) test set that we would like to have someone who's in the market for a coilover to try out! Originally meant for the G37, but they're the same for 370Z as well. The coilover will be from Agility, and we've also sold them on Evolution Forums, and here's what they're looking for: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The product is 99% complete (may have some cosmetic changes) before production continues. We have test fitted with the JDM Skyline fine, and we're 99% confident that the USDM models will fit as well, but we want to make absolutely sure. (For example, Honda Fit/Jazz USDM/JDM do have some incompatible differences). Current process is that we need the tester to: - Be able to install themselves (or professionally at a shop) as this is open to anyone in the lower 48 states. - Able to take pictures, especially testing with the lowering ability of the product. And helping support our product especially with the message boards/forums as we will start selling the production set soon (assuming if there are no issues with the test set). - Have owned/used coilovers before, experienced with expected ride associated with aftermarket products. Very important as the spring rates are 10kg/mm and 8kg/mm, higher than OEM as these are meant for performance, track driving and smooth surfaces. - Able to afford the product, as this basically a finished product, it will be a significant discount of MSRP ($1,300-$1,400). There is a 1 year warranty and if in any instance it does not fit, we will pay for shipping back as well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://torqdorx.com/go/images/storie...i/Skyline1.JPG http://torqdorx.com/go/images/storie...i/Skyline2.JPG Please contact via PM or email info@torqdorx.com Thanks All (We've cleared it with the administrator, AK370Z) |
I'd be happy do to any testing/pictures/reviews/DIY install that you'd want in exchange for a set...but if you are looking to "sell" the prototype set then you should post what you are expecting.

We got your email, and replied, but as stated in the post, there is a cost associated with it, basically buying the prototype at a significant discount in exchange for testing. Thanks! |

Mike is a very knowledgable autoX/road course guy, I think he'd be a perfect mule for the board. :)

ok, apparently there was a hiccup back during the initial testing phase, and now they've upgraded certain design and tested it on the G35/37 (I believe they said this G was on the Long Beach Spocom show couple weeks ago):
http://store.agilityco.com/images/G_G35%204.JPG and I believe they're still looking for a 370z, let me know if anyone is still interested, contact me for the details. Thanks! |
pm sent!

t'is true, and they upgraded the fix and now works perfectly fine |
Wow, I'm sorry for sounding a little harsh but I never can understand why any parts makers or companies intending to sell a new manufacturers products (ESPECIALLY a product as important as suspension parts) do not test things like this themselves, on their OWN cars (especially an unproven/ untested product) This is just ridiculous to me.
Its like saying, "Here, try this out and let me know if you live to see the next morning" :icon14: That doesn't say a lot about how much a manufacturers trust their own products, or how much parts sellers care about their end customer.... :shakes head: Sorry for the rant, this is just one of my pet peeves. We ALWAYS test EVERYTHING we sale to the public ourselves (on our own cars) on the track and on the street. We at RA have even turned away the right to sale a few (money making) products that do not meet our standards, and in turn we only sell products of manufacturers whom agree to our testing and their parts meeting our standards first. We feel you should have to believe in what you do, and what you sell.... Again, sorry for the rant, just trying to keep it real and hoping other follow suit |

There is just NO excuse good enough for things like that, that's crazy. I am in no way a fan of any Tein products either, but at least you won't have to worry about them braking right away... :p Mike, with the Tein monoflex the worst you will have to deal with is imbalanced and improper shock valving and inconsistent spring rates, LOL Hahah :bowrofl: Just messin' with ya (kinda) Quote:

I meant no big deal as far as hurting the car. I did have to pay twice for install and corner balancing though :(
