Squeaky rear suspension

Hi, I've got a 370z roadster and noticed while I was waxing that the rear suspension is making this squeaking noise. I was simply buffing out the front driver's side fender back and forth along the side of the fender above the Z emblem. Once I got it going the sound was like noisy bed springs in a honeymoon suite.

Is this something I should be worried about?

FYI, it's not the suspension that is squeaky .. It's the parking brake. After releasing the parking brake, I can no longer generate the squeak ... Still somewhat troubling, but no longer a major concern

Forget about it. Cars make sounds and yours is fine. Enjoy the roadster!

I was much relieved when I figured out it was the parking brake and I haven't thought about it since

Mine is creaking and squeaking while driving...constantly. Obviously it is not the parking brake. It is very loud and embarrassing. Also squeaks while car is park getting in and out. Coming from the rear. Everything seems tight and straight. Not sure what to do next.

Damn ... That would be annoying. Mine only squeaks while I wax the driver's side and only when the parking brake is on. Have you mentioned it to your dealer?

Nope, but they wont be aqble to do anything because I have aftermarket suspension...BC Racing BR series coilovers, rear camber arms and rear toe bolts. Gonna be all on me. Had the coilovers for many months now and they use to be quiet so I am pretty sure they are not the cause.

Have you had the car up on ramps and checked all the fittings? There's no grease fittings on any of that stuff so a squeak might be a sign that something needs to be snugged up. A google search on "BR series coilovers squeak" provided what seemed to be some relevant links.

Coilovers are notorious for making these sounds...pillowball mounts and/or the rear spring seat adjuster are usually to blame. My Tein Flexs on my 350 squeeked like a mofo

I have had coilovers on every car I have ever owned for the last 11 years. Never heard this loud or consistant of a squeak before. Totally quiet for the 1st 6 months of the coilovers life also. Just been the last 2 months or so.
