Do you want Goodridge braided steel brake lines for the 370Z?

Goodridge wants to gauge interest in braided brake lines for the 370Z. Please indicate whether or not you'd like to see these produced and made available!

M.Bonanni 01-27-2009 03:44 PM

For sure! Since on paper the stock Sports Package brakes look to perform quite well I think we will be seeing more people upgrading the pads/fluid/lines on the stockers instead of getting an aftermarket BBK.

RCZ 01-27-2009 04:11 PM

I am in, I will go in on the first group buy there is. There should be lots of interest for these.

OMGWTFBBQ 02-03-2009 11:52 AM

Why would anyone say no? I'd assume more EVERYONE would like to see more aftermarket options than fewer. It'll give us a choice between different manufacturers. Monopolies FTL.

inTgr8r 02-03-2009 12:14 PM

have Goodrich started coating their lines yet?

Shift 06-25-2009 08:14 PM

Heck yeah I have them on the Gixxer

Scott@FontanaNissan 06-25-2009 08:39 PM

I'm surprised they don't have them made already!!! That's standard procedure for track minded guys....lines, pads, and fluids.

YES!

Please size the SS lines for a 370A with Sport package brakes.

My Motive brake bleeder is waiting.

Mike 06-25-2009 08:45 PM

I would prefer stoptech lines myself.

import111 06-25-2009 09:10 PM

I might do SS lines in the future. Not now though.

Josh@STILLEN 06-25-2009 09:13 PM

I'm surprised we haven't started shipping these.. I'll check on it first thing tomorrow..

Is there interest for a GB?

Shift 06-25-2009 09:48 PM

I am sure there would be Josh.

I wouldn't be surprised if StopTech lines were made by Goodridge.

Modshack 06-26-2009 02:51 PM

...This'll give me an excuse to pull my calipers and powdercoat them...

Josh@STILLEN 06-26-2009 02:55 PM

Working on it now.. There is a difference needed with the Akebono calipers, but nothing huge. I'll post details when I have them.

wstar 06-26-2009 02:55 PM

I have CZP's lines in my garage right now, but the heat killed my plans to install today :) Soon, soon.

Definitely not. Stoptech does have lines for the G37 coupe, and I would be very surprised if they didn't cross over to us. I have had not so good results with Goodridge lines on corvettes, but stoptechs are a great product.

Josh@STILLEN 06-29-2009 03:37 PM

So the Goodridge lines are being worked on ASAP. There just needs a minor change to one of the banjo bolts off the non-sport kits to accommodate the new caliper. Kit will be very similar to this:

Josh@STILLEN 06-29-2009 03:39 PM

Side note: The kit pictured above (Part #GOOD22034) fit the 370Z non-sport. :)

wstar 06-29-2009 04:24 PM

Yeah that looks suspiciously like it will work with the stock brackets and attachment points, too, which probably makes routing and travel stuff simpler.

Josh@STILLEN 06-29-2009 04:25 PM

They mirrored Nissan's design with the block fittings.. adds cost, but will bolt up like OEM.

sensi09 06-29-2009 05:18 PM

Other than the brackets, is there a reason why the goodridge lines cost more than other lines. Other than brand name, is the quality better, because in some cases, they're almost twice the price as other brands.

I had Goodridge SS brake lines that came with my 350Z RacingBrake BBK kit. Only had one brake line minor issue which was replaced at no charge. The brake lines fitment was spot on.

Since the 370Z has a hard line to the caliper you can use the M35/45 line kit minus the extra flex line to the caliper. The 2 cars (M35/45 and 370Z) share the same hub. I just learned this when I installed the 370Z sport calipers and rotors on my 06 M45 as a direct bolt on. No brackets were necessary and the line routing is darn near identical. I think I've even seen some retailers selling the M35/45 kit for the 370Z already.

Can you confirm that the M35/45 SS lines will work on the 370Z sport?

Ken in AZ 07-28-2009 11:56 PM

Well the 370z ss lines from concept z worked on my M45 - can't see why they wouldn't go the other way

The CZP lines are very different from the Goodrich ones design-wise though. The Goodrich ones emulate the stock layout and use the stock brackets.

Anyone have pictures of the actual Goodridge lines?

I got mine as part of the Stillen brake kit, but it is the whole snake that goes all the way back to flare connector on the body. Our cars have a hard line that goes to the hub so I'm not understanding why they would want to replace a perfectly good hard line. There is no part number on the piece so I can't check using that.

JakeZ34 01-13-2010 02:36 AM

will be interested in GB and whats the difference between goodridge and challenge?

The hard line is specific to the location of the inlet port on the OE caliper. Since the new caliper has a port in a different location, the OE hard pipe will no longer work.

A full kit picture is in post #18.

That's the picture I first saw when I searched, and that's why I panicked a little. But now I realize that mine just has all the pieces pre-assembled. Thanks for the info. Now if I could just get my garage up to a temperature slight above freezing I could get these things installed!
