Should i get springs or coilovers (help)

Guys,

Im debating if I should get springs or coilovers. I guess the main question would be if I ever track. I dont... Im basically doing this for looks and to possibly improve handling. Im considering tanabes springs vs megans coilovers. Price wise $250 vs 800. Should I just go for the megans? Please post your opinion.... I cant seem to make my mind up.

If you are going for looks and street driving then springs are the cheapest option and my recommendation.

If you are going to buy a set of coilovers, then don't go on the cheap. Megan products are poor quality and I would search around before buying anything they sell. If you want coils, go Tein or KW V3s.

I purchased coils not for the track, but to get the ride height that I wanted. Springs just weren't going to lower the car enough. If you would be satisfied with the height that springs provide, I would recommend going that route until the OEM suspension goes. By then you could have saved enough for a proper set of coilovers. No need replacing good suspension, ya know?

Megan coilovers are not the best for damper control. The settings that they can adjust are very unsensitive. I have owned a set on my 240sx and after riding around for a while I sold them and got some tanabe suspension. Now I have Zeals and they ride great!
