Euro currency, the decimal has to be a mistake....lol

JB1 02-25-2010 11:27 PM

it's EURO 1,544 or about US$ 2,100. In Europe they use the . as the 1000 separator and , as the decimal separator.

Josh@STILLEN 02-25-2010 11:53 PM

If it exists in the US.. absolutely..

Willing to do a detailed review if I can?

VH370ZNISMO 02-26-2010 05:13 AM

If they are available yes .
I can get the kit from my parents in the UK just not willing to pay 17.5% sales tax

AJ@ECSMotorsports 02-26-2010 10:09 AM

If they are available, we'll be putting them up in the Vendor Classifieds section of the forum.

Check it out from time to time ;)

Finally got someone on the Bilstein US side who tracked down an ETA.

Still looking at 2-3 months for this kit. We'll stay on them for the release..

Modshack 03-06-2010 02:39 PM

Excellent...I've been waiting for Bilstein availability. Had em on numerous cars with great results..

BeauNC 09-10-2010 08:13 PM

So did these ever come to the states?

mattjk 09-10-2010 08:57 PM

wow, I LOVE bilstein.

However, the rears they only recommend it lower down to 35mm. If that is the most, seems like these aren't short stroke.

I think people that switch over to a full coilover system would like a short stroke set to go lower than 35mm (1 3/8th inch)

BeauNC 09-10-2010 09:05 PM

"Generally", the more you lower a car, the more you screw up the geometry that the original engineers designed into it. It may actually go lower, they just don't recommend it.

mattjk 09-10-2010 09:19 PM

BeauNC, well I hope you are correct in that assumption that the engineers don't want to go lower than stock geometry before needing camber adjusters.

the majority of people are going to want to go lower than 1 3/8th... probably down to 2".

It'd be nice to find out if these will be short stroke. I know I would not be interested in these if they were not.

my car is currently lowered 1.5" and I still want to go lower.

BeauNC 09-10-2010 09:25 PM

More so than just camber and toe adjusters, though, the camber gain, bump steer, toe gain, roll center, and maybe some other stuff could be negatively affected.

Fat Cats Motorsports is well known in the Miata crowd for modifying Bilsteins if necessary.

Yes, I've been meaning to put together a post.. they are available.. PM me for details, and I can put together the info and pricing on Monday..

Heard word this week that they are stateside..

mattjk 09-10-2010 09:35 PM

BeauNC, I don't need an education in suspension geometry. I spent 7 years building off-road race cars.

Thank you though, that was very nice of you to take the time however.

I just want to know if these are short stroke.
