Are you looking for pads or brakes?

vipor 02-23-2010 01:52 PM

"Best Brakes" lawl isn't that the OReilly store brand?

For daily driving purposes, you should be fine with just replacing the pads and fluids. Like dad suggested, go with the Hawk HPS pads.

It appears you have sport brakes from your sig/avatar so I don't think you NEED to upgrade rotors. I thought pads would make the most difference for street driving. I thought rotors were more or less for the high temps associated with the track and thus for the street might be over kill. They do look nice though and from what i've seen slotted rotors are the better of the two (slotted vs drilled).

ok :)

370zproject 02-24-2010 02:08 PM

someone should make a poll with the brands of pads and the fluid type >.>

vipor 02-24-2010 02:51 PM

A poll for different pads wouldn't be ideal as they are typically used for different applications. Street, Street/Track/HPDE, Track, Heavy Track. For example, Carbotech makes awesome pads for Track use, but doesn't really make streetable pads.

The fluid is pretty much down to just 2 choices, most of the time ending with Motul RBF600

Endless SS-M's are very good. The M stands for minimal noise and dust. For a Cheaper alternative you should try hawk hps or endless ss-y.

FuszNissan 02-24-2010 08:03 PM

Most popular is Motul for fluid.
