Brake Sensor not depressed enough after brake flush.
I changed the brake fluid in my car, the pedal is a bit softer, not mushy. When I went for a test drive I noticed I couldn't accelerate. I only got normal acceleration after putting my left foot under the brake pedal. Is there something I broke from smashing the brakes?

Just put on the news and it will be depressed enough. But it's probably just air in the lines.

What he said - bleed the brakes, you have residual air in the system |

it may be air in the lines or if you bled and emptied the reservoir before topping it off, you got air in master brake cylinder. This is much tougher to bleed.

I bled again using a pressure bleeder, no bubbles came out, but the brakes felt firmer. Back to prebleed. The sensor still kept saying the brakes were pressed. I went to check the brake pedals, I moved the rubber stopper up 1/2 mm (barely) and vuala the brake sensors were pressed.
I placed a rubber band to lift the stopper up and that worked... I'll call it a day and take to a shop later. |
