Brake Setup

Looking for a good brake set up for a 2016 nismo. Just for street use; rotors and pads all around

For street use honesty the Brembo brake set up is more than enough as the base brakes will work just fine for street use. The only way I would upgrade the rotors and brake pads is if you either plan on attending a track day or your rotors and brake pads really need replacing. I would keep Brembo blank rotors and get Carbotech’s or similar you will like your brakes.

If you're only concerned with street use, get the Z1 Master Cylinder brace and their stainless steel lines. Really good bang for the buck and will dramatically improve braking feel. No need to waste your money on 2-piece rotors and aggressive pads that will dust your wheels and make noise. If anything buy some slotted rotors to up your "street cred"

I would stick with the stock sport akebono calipers, but add the braided stainless lines, Castro SRF fluid, Z1 slotted front and rear rotors and the pads of your choice. I use the carbotechs but there are others that will work depending on the purpose. G-Loc pads are one alternative.pads

1521 pads for street use and XP12/10 for the track days.

Good luck.

The Castro SFR fluid is overkill for a DD. Better off with Motul 600 or 660. The price for the Castrol is $159.95 on Amazon. You could buy 8 bottles of Motul for a liter of Castrol. I use Castrol because I track. :driving:

You can only stop as fast as your tires, save your money. If you don't mind the noise, I have some great race pads available :) They can lock your brakes up every time.

Your stock rotors and pads are plenty good for street use. Don't bother wasting the money.

Need a brake job, are the stock rotors Brembo on a '14 with sport package?

What pads are OEM? Agreed, stock brakes are fine for street use, I just need to get rid of the pulsating from warped rotors.

Thanks
