Prev owners' cheap paint...

So aside from the crap job he had done on the wheels, the calipers must've been done the same way. I looked at them and started chipping away the red and revealed this beautiful black/gray flake :yum: Some of it is on there pretty good however, any tips to get it off without damaging the paint underneath? (And no, I don't believe the caliper is leaking brake fluid)

If nobody comes up with a good answer, take a wheel and caliper to your local paint store and see what they recommend. Or a body shop but they may not be as willing to help if they don't think they will get the job.

You could try some brake cleaner on a rag to remove the red paint. I THINK you could even spray it directly on the caliper, but I'd go with spraying a rag or paper towel first and see what happens. (Start on the back side, just in case)
