Front right outer brake caliper not bleeding
1st thanks to AK370 for a very informative video.
Using Motive Bleeder Kit, all calipers flushed/bled perfectly. Only the right front OUTER caliper did not flush when opened with 15psi of pressure still in bottle. the INNER caliper flushed out but not the OUTER caliper. Do not think its a caliper rebuild, no leaks, not pulling under hard braking. I was only going to pull RIGHT FRONT OUTER BLEEDER SCREW completely out to check for a clog. if doing so, when i tighten screw back in i don't need to check or bleed other calipers again? please confirm and respond. thanks for your help. |

Yes it was just a booger.
Hooked the MOTIVE BLEEDER KIT back up to the brake fluid resivoir and pumped to bout 15psi. 1st Loosened right front inner bleeder screw on caliper first to make sure fresh fluid was still there. Then tightened back up. 2nd Then removed outer bleeder screw completely on right front caliper while 15psi was still on MOTIVE gauge. Fluid DID pour out this side of caliper but was manageable as long as you have pan under caliper to catch all fluid. Before starting this check I poured bout half a bottle of new brake fluid in MOTIVE KIT to accommodate any fluid lost while OUTTER caliper screw Was completely out. While screw was completely out and new fluid flushing through that side of caliper only I took a tiny sized wire cleaner and cleared port at bottom of screw. Screwed back into outter caliper and secured. Cleaned entire caliper thoroughly and was bleeding perfect after. Took for drive and all was good! Thanks for all your help fellas! |
