Coilovers then bags?

So if I'm understanding this correctly, I go go a good set of coilovers and then later on if I decide too I can add bags to those coilovers correct? Or do I have to install them both at the same time, I do want bags eventually but don't have the money or willpower to save up for them as I have many other mods to do first.. Thanks for any input/links that will clarify!

Air springs fit over dampers just like coil springs if they have flat perches like on most adjustable coilovers. The only difference is with the total width of the bag in some cases. It may be cheaper to go with a full air system off the bat unless you can find adjustable dampers alone without the springs.

only caveat is most coilovers dampers are tuned with a certain spring in mind. You will need to be within a couple 100ib/in of that rating if you want the dampers to behave relatively well.

There really isn't a cheaper option with air springs. Just simply more parts which equals more cost, but of course you can buy the parts in stages.
