Hello, Need some help regarding brakes!
 

I have an 09 Gt Ultimate 370, need to replace front discs as they have warped, had a few questions I can hopefully get answered.

1. Would I be better just replacing both front and rear, if i was looking at having a different style of rotor on the front for example?
2. Do I have the sports brakes or standard? when looking online it asks which I have and honestly I don't have a clue.

Rotors seldom warp - it can happen but not near as often as people think. You probably have some deposits on the rotors which can be burnt off by bedding the brakes. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=brake+bedd...%3Athe370z.com

You have the Sport brakes.

Why not just have the rotors turned, re-bed the pads and go on about your day?

Those are the sport brakes. Your options in order of cost are listed below:

1. Try to re-bed the brakes. Potentially the cheapest and easiest solution (assuming you are comfortable with the procedure).

2. Have the rotors turned. Any brake shop can do this for you fairly cheap.

3. If the rotors can't be turned for whatever reason, you can probably get away with just replacing the front rotors and pads. No issues running different rotors on front and back. Go with Z1 rotors for best value.

I was recently in the exact same boat.

After a hard day at the dragstrip, they felt warped. The car had 20k miles. I figured they were probably warped from the mileage and many 100+ mph stops.

I pulled them off, cleaned them up and took them to oreilly's. They were not warped. A light cut on both sides, and I put them back on the car and "ran them in" using the original pads.

They work great! And it only cost me $17.
