How low with ARK grip?
 

I was wondering if there are some ARK grip exhaust owners out there that has lowered their Z on new(er) suspensions.
I was wondering how low i can go without the exhaust scraping?
1 inch suffice or would that be too much?

Im looking to keep 18" wheels on the car and would like a flusher look without upgrading the size of rims..
would the fenders need to be rolled as well running a 275/40/18?

arc grip is the best and worst exhaust you can get, i'm about stock height on 19s (bought coilovers and raised the car back to stock, when i bought the car it was on swifts which is .9 drop) and I was scraping on some spots and it doesn't matter how slow i go, so i took the car to have the exhaust cut up and raised about .5-1 inches and i'm still scraping a bit sometimes... I will scrape with stock height, if you drop then you'll be dragging them balls all the time.

Thanks for the info! As much as i love the rear end with the ARK grip, I still scrape on a handful of things depending on the slope of a driveway or a speedbump thats just too big (usually college parking lots).
When you mention a .9 drop, .9 inches? Curious if you think a .5 would still do the same?

You're already scraping at stock height what makes you think lowering .5" would be any different?

This is what i had done, on right its lifted and on left its stock position. and i'm still scraping but not nearly as much...cost me 200 Looks way better now, tips are more spread apart

You can can gain a bit more clearance by using the hose clamps on the rear rubber hangers just before the mufflers. I had to do this to get the mid pipes from sagging on the cross member and notice it also allowed for more ground clearance as well. Still scraped the cans like a MF backing out my driveway so finally switched out the grip mufflers for a DT-S muffler. No more problems, and I've since lowered the car on swift and going with low profile tires in the rears.

I have the ARK grip on my base 2015 at stock height, and haven't scraped at all around Houston - which has pretty bad roads in places (even good over speed bumps going slow). This exhaust is pretty low, and I would think you're risking it lowering your car much at all. But really depends on the roads in your area.

I plan on adding some Nismo springs and Tokico struts, and that's about it for me. Wouldn't want to risk dragging around town going low...

large speed bumps and any inclines is what gets you.

I would imagine so -- though I have a pretty good incline on my driveway, and the exhaust never scrapes, actually. That silly black plastic chin under our front bumper always scrapes though when backing out of my driveway if I don't angle it correctly...

I'm running the ARK Grip with Eibach lowering springs which have a drop of -25mm (0.98 inches if you prefer :rofl2: ).
I don't have many issues, even with the larger speed bump as long as you go super slow its OK. I have caught on the odd massive speed bump. TBH the biggest issue I have is the stock front lip and air deflectors hit on EVERYTHING :icon17:
