I'd really like to compare them to say the Powertrix or similar just for sh*ts and giggles. This is my second set of Aragostas, used them on another car. If you've ridden on say an Ohlins-equipped car, they feel the same. Just something about the way they dampen the rough edges. I tried to get mine on a shock dyno but he didn't have the right fixtures to mount it to the Roehrig. Would have cost me $300 to have him make a set. |

Hi guys not hijacking this thread but I have one question about coilovers.
Is it normal to hear some squicking rubber sound or metal clunking sound when you running in a slow speed in an angular way going up the ramp or clearing speed bumps one wheel at a time to avoid scrapping your front chin or skirts. Lol Mostly on a ramp going up in an angular way, dont know if I said it right. Thanks |
Small noises usually come from improper torque specs on the bolts or going too low and binding swaybar end links. Can also be improper preload on the springs and they're moving around wen fully uncompressed. Also make sure there are either rubber or plastic isolatorsnbetween all metal parts. What brand of coilover? Solid pillow uppers or rubber mount?

I use ISC coils. When running fast even on curves the suspesion holds well no noise heard. Thanks for the info. |
Well already ordered my powertrix and with the overwhelming positive reviews I think I'll be ok, just have to hope I can take the spring rates.
Question for those that have done the install, are the rear springs fully relaxed once if the ground or do you need to slowly lower the arm with a jack or pole jack? If needing to slowly lower the arm can it be done with just usual jack height of car (meaning there is enough swing room of the arm to get the spring out before hitting the concrete). |

Hey OP, if you are on FB check out the East TN Z club. We are right next door to US 129 and several us have ran suspension setups from OEM/NISMO OEM to JRZ. If you're wanting to setup for 129, you'll like stiffer springs and probably some front swaybar. I'm actually down in Huntsville now but I am very active with the club and should be going up for another round of suspension testing this month.

Charles sent me the template to mark where to drill the rear interior plastic so that you can access the shock adjustment (see axmea? review). I have a pdf of the template that I can send you. PM me if you want it.

Which dealer you ordered the powertrix coils? I might consider changing mine.
