Camber issue after wheel install

2 Attachment(s)
I have 2010 z with swift springs and recently went from stock 18s to rohana rc10s 20's. Went directly through Rohana and they knew the offset that would sit flush. Not sure off the top of my head what it is. The fronts look great and after the rears were installed i noticed the tops are tucking in. I went for alignment hoping this would pull it back out and have them sit right but they had no luck. I attached the specs from the alignment. They recommended getting a rear camber kit. I am going to probably order SPC rear camber adjustable arms. Will this do the job or is there something else I should be looking for?

Do your self a favor, stay away from SPC... I'm lower on swifts as well, I went with the SPL rear camber arms and TOE bolts, also I went with the Z1 upper control arms. Another option is the SPL upper control arms but those were to expensive for me at the time. Good luck

Spc or spl rear camber arms and toe bolt is all you need to fix this while on swifts

xxgary81xx 06-08-2016 11:14 PM

thank you for the replies. I see spc on a good amount of websites. Who carries the spl and how much am I looking at for the rears?

Breadz 06-08-2016 11:33 PM

Kamispeed should have them

IPP and THMotorsports have the best prices on SPL parts... I went with Kyle (IPP) since he replied faster but you can't go wrong with either.

That's the correct part, and they come as a set (pair). However, I'd contact them on the forum for a better price.

Thanks for the help just placed th order.

I've had the SPC rear kit & bolts on for a couple years, never has a problem.

I'm sure you'll be very happy with SPL's, top shelf product.

While nice, I hear the SPL front control arms are pretty noisy for street driving.

Lance @ next level can hook you up with SPL stuff.

Your camber is not far off the specs, only -.02 off in the rear. OE max is -2.2 I would leave it alone.

2.8 on the left
thats way off i just had mine done i had 2.9 the tire wear was straight garbage
Tires wouldnt have lasted 5k miles MAX

Whats bothering me is the wheel butterflying in. Its stopping the wheel from looking flush to the fender up top. I had h&r spacers before and main goal for the wheels is obviously the look and not needing spacers to look flush. Went kamispeed, got my spacers springs and intake from them. Josh is always a great help there. Gonna install probably tues hopefully it gets me what I want

Camber don't really wear your tires out.. Its the TOE that will eat them quick..

gonzales25 06-10-2016 07:40 AM

Maybe I'm reading the sheet wrong but it says current camber -2.4

Yep that's what it says. I am not a fan of my wheels cambering, which is what I am getting in my rear. It's not even about the tire wear it's the look. I was happier with my stock 18s and spacers.

gonzales25 06-10-2016 12:55 PM

Camber arms will get you were you want to be. I run -2.7 in the rear but I like how it looks and my wheels are flush. I could go more towards stock camber but then I would need to install toe bolts.

zefaulter 06-13-2016 10:11 PM

even with less of a camber, you'll need spacers. Those wheels won't look as good without spacers

jchammond 06-14-2016 03:47 AM

Not sure your driving style; mine is more straight line/with wide open acceleration from a stand still.... I'm only running about -0.5*rear camber & factory-0.8*F
I'm sure your alignment guy dialed the eccentric bolts on the camber arms as much as he could (shortened distance,to pull bottom of tire in) they have markings on them,,,,but when you go more positive on the camber (wheel lean out) you in turn give yourself more toe (wheels point in) .
Your toe setting is great; I have basic Kinetix rear camber arms from Z1 & have them shortened as much as I can (without having too much + toe)
My toe eccentrics are adjusted all the way negative & I adjusted the camber as far positive as I could, without letting toe get too positive.
One adjust directly affects the other.
As far as the front, upper arms are needed for that correction.
Good Luck & be sure your Toe adjustments stay very close to where they are now.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...b6a87b6f85.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...240df07a63.jpg

I have the SPL upper control arms and the lower bushings too. As for noise. It's no worst then a noisy set of tires. I can't really hear the increase in noise. But I can fell the difference in steering feel. :driving:

For alignment settings. -2.4 in the rear is a lot unless you are tracking the car or going for the wild camber look. I'm tracking mine with 345/30-19 on a 12" rim with a camber setting of -1.75.

Thanks for the help just got my spl package today. I'm going to have them installedo Friday then get the alignment. This may be a dum question but do I have to get all 4 wheels aligned or just the rears? I have my old h&r spacers and will see how the outcome looks. Worst case scenario I will use them. I ll post pics after the install

All 4 yes. I've been there and I've asked the same question.

Rusty 06-14-2016 11:29 PM

Yes, do all 4. Because your thrust alignment may be off. When you set to rear toe, the front toe will be off in 98% of the time.

jchammond 06-15-2016 08:44 AM

Also, you never even mentioned your wheel or tire specs?

xxgary81xx 06-15-2016 10:41 PM

Rohana rc10s Front 255/35/20 22 rear285/30/20 12 with swifts. I belive that is the offset , went right thru rohana who seemed very knowledgeable and dealt with many z's
