Brake pads for Akebono with Less Brake Dust?

I am looking into getting different brake pads for my 2015 Nismo. They obviously are no where near needing to be replaced but I am sick of how much brake dust they discharge.

I understand the Akebono brakes will produce more than regular OEM but is there anyway new pads will reduce it?

Are there certain ones that are the best with reduced brake dust?

I do not track my car, this is only for DD.

For a DD, I'd recommend Centric Posi-Quiet pads. This is what I am using with my Akebono's and slotted rotors. I have been happy with them.

Here is a description of different pads offered from Z1 Motorsports:

Pads
Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramic brake pads are the recommended choice for most vehicles due to their low dust and good performance. These pads are used for street cars and weekend warriors that choose to swap pads before track days. OEM Nissan brake pads are the same pads they put on the cars from the factory, dusty, long life, non aggressive pads. StopTech Performance brake pads offer similar low dust and low noise characteristics as the Posi-Quiets and offer more linear performance regardless of temperature for a more predictable feel for spirited driving and light track use. Hawk HPS 5.0 brake pads "offer more stopping power and get resistance to brake fade, elevating your street car’s performance". Hawk Performance Ceramic brake pads offer low dust, low noise, and a linear friction profile in a wide heat range. Hawk HP Plus brake pads are ideal for track events. On the street the dust and noise output may not be desirable. Carbotech Performance brake pads are for the track. These aggressive pads, with their predictable friction, initial bite, and heat tolerance, will provide the confidence necessary to complete track events.

In my experience, OEM pads dust the least. Centric Posi-Quiets are second best. For dust.

Akebono Pads?

On the 2014 w/Sport Pkg & Akebono calipers, are the pads OEM, or are the pads an upgrade from std Nissan pads?
Thanks,

Nissan offers both sport package and base brake pads as an OEM product. Whether they are the same compound or not, I could not say.

I loved my posiquiets on my akebonos.

Any other opinions on the OEM pads versus the Centric pads for dust? It sounds like a split decision on which actually produces less dust.

On a different note, any concerns with squeal or other noise on the drilled/slotted rotors with OEM or Centric pads? I've been eyeing the sport brake package from Z1, strictly for daily driver with some spirited driving of course! Unfortunately most tracks won't let the roadster on for open track days unless I put roll bars in, which ain't happening.

Roadster Hoops

The hoops have large (steel I think) bars up thru them, welded to a steel cross member . They are hard to see, you really have to climb in there with the top about half up/down. I did not put a magnet on them to see if it is steel or aluminum. But I sure drove it on the track and auto cross.

That's good to know! The track by my house has a requirement that the top of your helmet has to be a certain amount below the roll hoops. The stock hoops aren't tall enough for that, but perhaps other tracks have more relaxed rules. Worth some digging..
