2013 370Z Brake Upgrade, not wanting to change calipers, some track use.
 

My 2013 Z has only covered 28,000km's and the brakes are in no way of needing to be changed from a use point of view, however I very rarely use the car but have got into doing track days recently and on the last one the brakes showed up the limitations worryingly quickly.

I really don't want to go down the route of big brake upgrades, mainly from a cost point of view, however would like some suggestions on whats good stuff to use discs/pads wise.

My first upgrades of course will be braided lines, higher rated fluid, anything else simple I need to look at?

I would however like 2 piece (floating) rotors (discs as we call them in the UK!) front and rear, so suggestions on manufacturers of who to look into would be good. I keep seeing Akebono all over the place but I have never heard of these before.

Also pads wise, the car will still be used as a road car not a race car so some compromise between road/track is needed on this front.

Any suggestions from experience would be fantastic.

Well my friend in my case i have a 2013 370z Base/Sport Package that comes with the Akebonos Big Brakes. I use the Z1 motorsport braided brake lines, Motul RBF600 and Stop Tech brake pads with the stock rotors... In my first trackday the car run soo perfect... i never lose brake pressure and the car stop awesome... I use my car as my daily driver soo the work great out of the track too. as far i can remember they are not noise and not too much dust in the wheels... Now i buy the EBC USR Slotted Rottors and i cant wait to install them.. im still debating what brake pads buy now... if the same Stop Techs or the EBC yellow stuff also i like a lot the Ferrodos... i run those brake pads on my sti before and they are very very good.

You are looking for DBA-5000 2-piece rotors.
They're about $600 US for the front pair.
Also, look into STILLEN brake ducting.

Those are non-caliper-related upgrades you can do.

Z1 has both front and rear 2-piece rotors. The fronts are less $$$ than DBA. The rears are expensive though as the hat has to accommodate the parking brake drum. Probably not worth the 2-piece rears in your case.
