Noop, they are not messed up. Just need to get the proper bed in process and follow it. Since you have racing pads, don't expect them to stop so great when cold. That is normal. They just need heat in them.

Thanks you guys are awesome!

They put some bedding compound on some new pads (I think hawk does). If you don't bed the pads that compound will make the brakes feel really slick until it wears off

Update on this:

I ran the bedding procedure per Hawk's website today. I didn't notice anything right away but I have gotten use to the change. They work great just feel different than stock. They have less initial bite, but stopping is NOT a problem. Lol

Probably because the pad needs to be heated up a bit

What he's saying doesn't sound like a bedding problem. I've pulled out of the garage before with new everything and it stopped on a dime!! With zero pressure. Then I went to break in. His issue is bleeding.

Bringing this one back from the dead as I would like to hear more about long term durability. How are the rotors holding up?

Spooler 04-02-2017 12:09 PM

Very good. I have over 60k miles on them and the same Carbotech XP8 pads. I am easy on brakes though.
