Recommendations for break upgrade

Hey fellas, I'm upgrading my wheels to 18 X 9.5 +29 5-114.3, and 275/35 tires.

The wheels are advan gt racing wheels.

I got stock base breaks, and I'd like to get something that I can confidently take to the track.

Please give me some suggestions with all valuable points such as price/value/quality (be specific regarding model/type/brand etc), I'd like to get this setup going within a week.

Thanks.

For a break up-grade. I don't know. For a brake up-grade. Lots of options. How much dd, how much track?

haha, typo, my bad.

Brake upgrade is what I meant.

Mostly DD, track about 1 time per month, 2 max.

The Sport Package Akebonos will do just fine, I think they're pretty top notch. If you want something for a Track application (heavy track application atleast) I would do AP Racing, ALCON and or Brembo

I've got the stock sport brakes with Power Slot slotted rotors and Hawk pads, made a big difference, IMO.

What I have run the last couple of years.

Racing brake 2 piece rotors front and rear.
Yellowstuff pads,
Hard Braking Ti pad heat shields,
Nismo RC Brake cooling ducts with the Stillen brake duct kit.

This year, I'm switching to the XP10/XP8 pad set-up.

I'll get the akebono bbk and when time comes, upgrade that setup with the z1 upgrade package with (I'll try Hawk) pads.

Good plan? meby?

I just grabbed the z1 upgrade package for non sport, and could not be happier. I have yet to track the car, minus one autocross session before the install, and I knew I needed more brakes. I got a chance to ride with a few of the regulars (g37 and 370z) and their upgraded brakes alone was enough for me to know they were faster then I.

from online reading, it seems the stock pads and fluid need to be upgraded before tracking the car. This took care of both.

Z1 370Z / G37 (Non Sport) Brake Upgrade Package

z1 is a sponsor of the site btw :) I am not affiliated, just a happy customer

I went with StopTech F&R rottors and pads, along with SS braided brake lines and motul 600 fluid. We'll see that runs.

excellent choice sir. I went with the same options. Girls are constantly asking me if they are stoptech pads, which I reply with a yes.

they might not be as big of a rotor as our sport brethren, however we all know less weight is better, and brakes just slow you down :stirthepot:
