Got my fenders yesterday, opened the box and was shocked to see literally no packaging to hold the pieces in place safely. My fear of the fenders getting damaged during shipment came true, when I inspected the parts closely. Part of the driver fender is chipped?

https://picasaweb.google.com/1096736...73790499232930

I've sent further details to A.J for now, will see how to best handle this. I was hoping to start the fitment and install today, but that'll have to wait now :/.

On another note, I tried going cheap with an FRP, so take my advice, add the extra $'s if you can and buy the CF version instead. In the long run, seeing the quality of these fenders in FRP, I wish I had paid the extra $'s to get the CF versions.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Hopefully everything works out for you. I can't believe it was shipped with the fenders free to move inside.

It should fit perfectly a roadster as by OEM part number its the same fenders, but we could never get hold of a roadster to test fit it.

ETA is around 3-4 weeks as there were some problems with our partner in Florida but it seems everything is fine now. We can offer same price of 550$ pus shipping should be around 150-170$ from Florida to Canada :tiphat:

Thanks for the quick reply, just want to confirm FRB $550.00ea fender and $150-$170 ea to be shipped or total? silly qustions but don't want to send you 1/2 the money lol
Great ETA imo I am not in a rush since the car will be store in less then a month till spring :(

I agree, I hope you get an answer.

Particularly since I bought them from you instead of directly from CS after seeing that you were so high on the buy list.

How was fitment? Did you get the fiberglass version? Any extra work required to make them fit?

370z812 11-01-2011 06:11 PM

How do we go about purchasing the fenders???

370z1 11-02-2011 09:23 AM

Hello 370ZJT,
Yes I went with the fiberglass version which came with a coat of primer from them. There were some minor imperfections in the surface meaning some small bumps and uneven sanding areas however the body shop smoothed them out. The fenders as they come are pretty much ok to just paint and then mount but to make an extra effort to ensure a nice end result with the painting you may want to ask your body shop to apply a thin layer of bondo and then sand to perfection before final paint work. The fenders themselves are very thin so they need to use care when handling. So far mine have held up and there was no major effort on getting them mounted. The only thing I noticed was the gap between the door and the fender is about an 1/8 wider. Not a big deal but it is larger than the stock gap but I guess that is expected with after market parts. Over all they have done well since installed.

370Z JT 11-02-2011 03:04 PM

Cool. What color Z?

What shop in CA did the paint matching.

370z1 11-03-2011 09:44 AM

I had a local shop near me do the work. Any reputable shop should be able to get close but it will never be exact because painting has a lot a variables to it. Even buying the paint directly from the dealer won't be exact but it you wanted to be sure that would be the way to go in my opinion. I didn't go that path because the paint from the dealer was too expensive so the body shop did their best to get as close as possible. My suggestion would be to get 3 quotes from different places and go with you you feel is the right one. My body shop gave me 5 years warranty on the work. They also worked on the doors a bit to feather in ie:fade in the new paint with the factory paint so it wasn't so obvious.

Guys, we are still intended to offer fenders but need some time to fix some issues which we had with our partner for the delay in delivering them.

We are receiving lots of pms and seems like there is still interest in these, so we can get a lot done and will ask you guys to write your name in the list below so we can take it from there. Time wise it will take some time.

Same here. I've been wanting to buy these but need to know what type of wait are we looking at.

marcussoori 02-21-2012 12:01 PM

I'm interested, but would want to only pay a deposit before the fenders are ready to ship. What is the CF and FRP price, and what would you ask for a deposit amount?

Thanks.

Shot me some numbers on these please....no CF and if possible without the Z hole.

shadows 02-25-2012 02:30 AM

hey guys. still waiting for your pay pal numbers so i can order this fenders CF (if available), and the fujimura front bumper. also the downpayment price so i can get the rest of the parts started.

CarbonSignal 02-26-2012 12:47 AM

As Most of you know , we had couple of issues with our partner who was making those in the US to save on shipping, so we decided to stop the US production for now until we find a reliable partner.

And since we are getting lots of interest in those sexy fenders, we decided on the below :

- We will be making these Fenders in Dubai after we get confirmed orders.
- Ship all of them together in one shipment (to save on shipping) to our partner in Arizona. and from there it will be shipped to each person.

Simple

- In case someone wants a his order to be separately then we can do that but keep in mind that the shipping will be around 800to 900$.

Making: We have two options to do it !!!

- Using OEM feneders and them modify them ( subject to availability of OEM fenders )
- Full FRP, we will need to make a mould.

but again guys.. there is no point of making these if we dont have enough interest cause the shipping is high.

Payment: We will be taking just a deposit and then the rest of the amount once its ready for shipping.

Lead time: 1 week each set after the mould is ready. (in case of FRP) and 1 week each set from the date the OEM fenders reach our offfice.

Hope i have answered most of the questions.

Thank you guys for your interest in our products and we will continue to support you guys as much as we can. :tiphat:

These fenders are amazing, I feel they really added to the lines of my Z.

While it would be cool if you offered them with a signal delete option, it's easy as pie for the body-shop doing the painting/install to do that themselves..
