Extras

I was perusing the manual and noticed most if not all the features in there have the tag (if equipped) on them.

Is there a list anywhere exactly of which features/functions the Australian 370z is equipped with?

I can tell you which feature are not:
!. Remote Window functions: to be able to open/close door windows via remote
2. No TMC on SatNav
3. No MP3 player connection
4. No option to have heated or auto-adjust rearview mirror
5. Tyre pressure monitor

Feel free to correct me, or add to the list as I'm sure there's more. We got a raw deal dude.

Hey, at least we get headlight washers! :)

1-The window thing is a novelty for me. The wife's BMW has it and to be honest i cant see a reason for it's use, others might though?
2-Not sure what TMC means (gotta learn all these short names LOL)
3-Unless you mean hands free like the Premium Sound the US guys get, then yes we do. Thats what the Y/R/W connections are for, in the console bin.
4-Again i thought we had heated mirrors, at least the side view ones.
5-Again not like the US. But there is a section of the menu that lets you know if the Tyres are low (Correct me if i'm wrong).

I found that funny, the first it came on. Seeing a little bit of water shoot up on the bonnet LOL.

1. Agreed, window thingy is novelty
2. TMC= traffic message channel; let's you know the traffic situation (real-time) on the route you're taking, and if you want, re-routes to quicker less congested routes.
3. I reckon our US buddies get another feature that allows them to hook up MP3 players or Ipods direct to system. ?May be wrong
4. Are the side ones heated? Had the car long enough to think I would have noticed.
5. Don't know if we actually have low tyre pressure gauges equipped.

Can anyone help us figure this out?

1-
2-Thanks on the TMC. I havnt really seen a good job of implementing it in any of the Garmins/TomTom's etc.
3-The US guys do get a direct iPod/iPhone connection as an OPTION.
4-The side mirrors are heated. One morning leaving work (@0500) i was talking to my work mates and could even see steam coming off them LOL.
5-Chck Manual pages 5-3 & 6-2.
6-Reverse Camera:happydance:

Edit - I Reread the first post. Saying if so equipped. I can only say that my above info i have asked my dealer. Also that we get a fully loaded car except the 19"'s and HDD Stereo option the US guys get.

1. Nice, but not a big deal
2. TMC traffic - if that was to work in OZ it wouold have to be through the SUNA system. - SUNA - GPS Traffic Updates
3. I am pretty sure the iPod connectivity is just a cable that we didn't get and the console insert is different as well. The AV inputs that we have are great but an additional direct iPod connector would be a bonus.

What we need is a pinout/connector diagram of the rear of the NAV unit so we can see exactly whats going on and what can be AUX'd in. Who wants to pull apart their dash? :)

The guys at Nissan spare parts are testing the reversing camera out from the new Maxima as it's the same interface. That would be an easy OEM upgrade.

4. I know our mirrors have elec folding. The button is on the drivers arm rest behind the mirror swivel. The auto dimming rear view mirror could be fitted.

5. Don't think so....but not sure either.

6. What about the cargo area? I have seen OEM cargo nets, storage boxes and seat storage options are all over ebay. Were any of these official options? I might grab these off ebay US if anyone wants them too form here?

6-Cargo net i have on order from my dealer.

As for 5, AKAIK unlike what the 350 had which showed each tyre or something. It only advises if there is a Tyre that is running low AFAIK.

Yea, I've checked out SUNA before. It's available on the newer Nav systems that you buy at the shops and if you're in the eastern states. But is the 370z's Nav system set up to install SUNA if it's available in your vicinity? I believe, all Ford in-car Nav systems are now preloaded with SUNA at dealership

myfinalheaven 07-27-2009 05:02 AM

thanks for the replies guys. good to know. was there an auto-close window function that closes the windows for you automatically after a certain amount of time?

i might've read it wrong somewhere though...

just installed rear parking sensors on the 370z last night, works like a charm, was wondering though, would it be worth it to get a camera installed? and if so anyone got any diagrams as to know to which cords to hook up to?
